Book Review: Darkfell

Thom is no stranger to hardship, growing up on the streets as a child will do that to you, but he has no desire to leave his position as a cartographer for the king. The kingdom is fighting a losing war against darkness, but what could a book-loving and outdoor-hating young man do to help anyone?
When Thom is forced to face what seems to be certain death on the battlefield, the Creator of the realm reveals a different path for him. Thom is given a unique ability to walk paths to other worlds and realms… but with the gift comes a price. He must journey through monster-infested lands and face a being more evil and cruel than greed itself. Can Thom give the ultimate sacrifice? Or can he find his way home back to his maps and books?
