Book Review: Radiant

Ava and Elm now have a team of students to help them in their fight against the benefactors, but now with more mouths to feed, their problems continue to multiply. They break back into Prism to get supplies and information but get caught in the act. After a narrow escape, they return to find an intruder within their cave base. Elm is ecstatic to find it’s his old friend Sammy.

Elm firmly believes she is here to help, but when food goes missing and supplies are destroyed, distrust spreads among the group. It seems Sammy wants Elm for herself and will do anything to get him.

After their cave is invaded by the benefactors, they retreat the way Sammy came and journey outside the dome. After passing through the magic barrier, they come to the realization that almost everything they have been taught is a lie. Yellow magic users are alive and thriving outside the barrier. They soon realize, back inside the dome, however, the head of the benefactors, Selene, has yellow magic users held hostage to drain their magic to power the barrier. The group must decide how much they are willing to risk to help the mentalists.

The best part of this book is the surprise ending, which I won’t spoil for you. I enjoyed the cunning treachery of Selene and the world of Neo Prism.
I did not enjoy this book as much as the first, but it leads us to the third, which is full of surprises!
