This book comes with a mild content warning as it deals with healing from rape. Everything is done tastefully and elegantly. This is a heart-reaching beautiful tale that centers on forgiveness and living after tragedy. There are strong themes of hope and selfless love while hints at the Christian faith. I am not normally one to cry over books but this one nearly brought me to tears with its elegance.
This book would be safe for teen readers if they are familiar with the concept of physical love and the tragedy of assault.

Spice/Romance: Mild. This is a PG13 book that discusses emotional healing from sexual assault, but everything is done behind closed doors. It’s a beautiful, beautiful story and (spoilers) once Beauty marries Beast, a closed-door scene brings her healing full circle.
Violence: Low/ almost none at all.
Morals/Worldview: Christian/good morals
